Some things cannot be taught. We are all born with a purpose, and once that purpose is discovered, we naturally begin to operate in our gifts. Candyce Patterson is one of those individuals. With a passion for transforming lives and inspiring audiences, she has dedicated her career to helping others move beyond brokenness, build resilience, and create lives filled with purpose, confidence, and fulfillment.
Candyce is an accomplished author, Mental Health Clinician, Certified Grief Coach, and Master-Level Certified Life Coach. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master of Science in Human Services from Capella University. She also holds graduate certificates in Professional Counseling and Community & Social Services.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional excellence, Candyce completed life coaching supervision under Psychotherapist Jennifer Lester, LPC, at The Purpose Project, LLC, where she earned her Master-Level Certified Life Coach credential. She is also a Certified Grief Coach through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching, certified in Cognitive Behavioral Coaching and REBT Mindset Coaching, and has completed advanced trauma studies through the Arizona Trauma Institute.
With more than 15 years of experience in counseling and personal coaching, Candyce has become an internationally recognized keynote speaker and workshop facilitator. She has inspired audiences across the United States and internationally, including engagements in Dubai and London, equipping individuals to embrace personal growth, emotional wellness, and intentional living.
Candyce is the author of Step Up to the Next Level: Your Personal Guide to Living Intentionally, Unapologetically, and Without Boundaries. Her expertise has been featured on numerous platforms, including Girl Talk, Wake Your Voice, Foresight: Education, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Diversity & COVID initiative, Holistic Living with Hazel, and MTV Entertainment's 2nd Annual Mental Health Action Day, Let's Talk Connection.
A dedicated servant leader, Candyce is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter. She currently serves as a Bereavement Coordinator with an Atlanta-based hospice, where she compassionately supports individuals and families as they navigate grief, loss, and life's most difficult transitions.
